sony xdcam pmw ex1 camera clips to editing in final cut pro PLEEEEEEE HELPPPPP
Hello,
I am able to get clips into sony xdcam browser on to my macbook pro, BUT cannot access it from final cutpro 6.02 ver .When I clip on file import>sony xdcam it spits out error ,its cannot connect to xdcam !! The sony dealer is not able to resolve it,the mac help says is not their problem, WHERE DO I GO ,after an investment in High definition Technology.

Did you download the latest Transfer app? You need it in order to import XDCAM footage into FCP 6.0.2

I’d wish people would get the names of the software approximately close. It makes it hard for folks to trouble shoot.
There is the
CLIP BROWSER
Windows – Copies and rewraps to MXF
Mac Intel – Copies
Does NOT work on PPC MacsTRANSFER TOOL
Mac – rewraps to MOV
Works on BOTH PPC and Intel Macs. There is no Windows versionSxS DRIVER
Mac and Windows – needed to use Express card port on computer.
