  Sony XAVC Long codec pain

  Can Sony fix its codec playback issues with the PXW-70 XAVC Long codec. It’s created a codec that doesn’t even play back properly (ie. choppy) on its Catalyst Browse software.

  Catalyst Browse and Prepare have particular incompatibilities with Mac machines.

  The only computer we can get it to play back without hiccups with Prepare is an iMac with a NVIDIA 2048 mb graphics card. Everything else will not work smoothly.

  Can Sony fix the bugs. It’s a great camera otherwise, but a pain when we have hundreds of hours to deal with.
