Sony Video 8 Pro Editing Sequence
I have the Sony Vegas Pro 8 video editing program and render to Mpg 2
I have been advised to have the actual program on C: Drive.
All video clips and project files on D: Drive
Export finished project to E: Drive
Would this be correct?
Are there any other factors that I should take into consideration?

Hi Alfred;
If all your drives are fast SATA, I would say that is a good setup. the idea is to keep the heads on any drive from having to whip back and forth between reading and writing.
But, if some of your drives are USB, then the config you proposed might be slower than having some of the functions on the same, fast drive.
Last year I did a bunch of tests on my system to come up with the optimal configuration. What I noticed is that it did not make a big difference, because my system is CPU-bound, not IO bound. I recommend installing Process Explorer to keep an eye on performance.
