Every time i drag and drop a .mp3 file (yes I’ve tried multiple files, and I’ve had this working in the past)
i get an error on sony vegas

“none of the files dropped on sony vegas could be opened”

and yes I’ve tried importing through explorer too.

any help would be greatly appreciated

All MP3 files are different in the way of compression etc. So it is known that not all MP3 files can be handled by NLEs (this is not only the case for Vegas but for most (all???) NLEs.

I figured it out…I’m running Windows 7 and i guess sony vegas didn’t like the new windows media player 12 so i downgraded to 11 and it recognized everything 🙂

but now I’m getting a BSOD when i try to render my videos (AGAIN)
which is the reason i did a clean install of Windows 7 to try and fix that
