  • Sony vegas Studio HD – very slow streaming

    Hi there,

I’ve been putting mp4 movies rendered in Sony vegas Studio HD 11 on a wordpress blog and they’ve been streaming very slowly.

In fact, they only start playing after the whole video has loaded. I used the ‘internet 640 x 480’ when I rendered them, because I thought this would the best setting for an internet video.

Any fixes on getting these videos to actually stream?

I’ve been using at JW video player, but also tried the flash video player.

    Thanks
    Naomi

Hmmm… what are you trying to do? ARe you sure you don’t require a “media server”?

The videos are hosted on Amazon S3 – so they shouldn’t be loading that slow.

The problem is to do with the Sony Vegas codec I think – or something like that. It’s only playing after it’s loaded the menu – and the menu is at the end of the video – so it loads the whole video before it starts playing.

Run the files through MP4FastStart first.
It’s free and is a great utility.
