So I wanna render my video which is about 20mins long and whenever I want to render it, it freezes at 22%, Vegas seems to be responding, but the render preview goes black, frame which it was at is now on 0 and if I want to cancell it, it just wont, so I need to terminate the whole Vegas process in task manager. The rendered file is always around 500mb and then it freezes.
My project consists of 1 video that is cut into 2 parts, 1 image cut into 2 parts, 3 sound files and one is cut into 2 parts and 4 texts.

Does it freeze in the exact same place each time or in a different place?

Try setting the full resolution rendering quality to “good” in project property settings, as a troubleshooting step.

Also: Feel free to create a support ticket at the Sony Creative Software portal. We are still supporting the products here during the transition. https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/home?ReturnToView=%2Fcustcenter%2Fask

Try turning off GPU acceleration. I had the same issue.

I get that problem too. Usually when I have incorporated customer provided video with my video.

I find that if I pre-transcode the customer video, which is usually a different pixel or bit rate into the same as my project, it goes smoother.

Also, preconvert the audio into 48k sample wave instead of 44k wave or ac3 fixes it.
