Sony Vegas Sample Rate Issue During Editing
Lately I’ve been experiencing a very strange problem when editing with Sony Vegas.
Any audio I insert into a project has to match the sample rate of the project itself, otherwise I get this awful stuttering effect when attempting to play. If for example, I was to insert an MP3 or any other audio file at 44,100Hz into my project, the project audio settings must be set at 44,100Hz no higher, no lower, as it won’t play properly.
This becomes a real problem when i’m inserting 44,100Hz MP3s into my project along footage from my Canon 550d which records audio at 48,000Hz. I can either have one or the other play properly unless I resample all the audio which becomes inconvienient. I’ve never had this problem before, everything played smooth and fine.
I’m not great at explaining things so I made a video that demonstrates exactly my problem:
