I got this problem and im in a hurry to do this video. (dont care about my bad english)

Im doing a video where i cut my hand off. I took a shot of my hand being on the table, then a shot of the knife hitting the table. Then i composite those two together and mask that it looks fine and smooth. It looks perfect in preview window:

    But horrible when rendered:

When i play it on fullscreen ON sony vegas it looks the same as rendered, horrible. How can i fix this?

    These are my project properties:

Template: PAL DV (720×576; 25,000 fps)
    Field order: Lower field first
pixel aspect ratio: 1,0926 (PAL dv)
    Frame rate: 25.000 (PAL)
Pixel format: 8-bit ( if i change this it looks bad)
    Full resolution rendering quality: Preview
    Motion blur type: gaussian
    Deinterlace method: interpolate fields
Adjust source media to better match project or render settings: Checked

    And my preview properties:

    Simulate device aspect ratio: checked
Scale video to fit preview window: checked
Adjust size and quality for optimal playback: Checked

And as you can see, the project and preview resolution are the same:

    Please help me!

This is what I also have seen before. If you set the mask while the preview is set to a low quality, the results are different for the rendered version. The solution could be to set the preview quality to BEST FULL and not to automatic as you have done
