Sony Vegas Rendering Problems (Low Memory)
Hi, I have 3.00 GB RAM PC and I’m having Low memory rendering problems with my Sony Vegas Pro. 8 program. I deleted many of my major files because it claims i have low memory. I also close everything thats open but it still says I have low memory. This has been happening for the past week and I’m pretty much fed up. The only videos i actually CAN render are at the most only a minute and 30 seconds. Please Help me.

I’m a newbie, and have been having rendering problems myself. The solutions the ‘cowboys’ have been recommending to me that seem to work are:
1. Reduce Dynamic RAM Preview to Zero just before you render.
2. Reboot the machine in order to defrag your swap file.
That seemed to work for me in Vegas Pro 9.0. Can you please give that a try, and let us know how it works?

Also, kill any background applications you might have running, like Anti-virus/Internet Security, and also double-check your project and rendering properties, to make sure they are the same (including audio). Then please let us know how you do.

Along with Norman recommendations…..it would also
be good for you do a simple Vegas re-install same time.Steve Rhoden

Make your page file static. If the O/S can’t find enough contiguous memory when it needs to manage the pagefile, you will get this error.

Thanks for the advice, and it worked for a while but a couple of hours after it was fixed it Froze completely and I couldnt restart Sony Vegas.. so I restarted my computer. Now I can’t get onto Sony Vegas at all. Everytime I try, it immeadiatly says I have Low Memory. I will try re-installing it but I dont really think that might work because I’ve reinstalled it 3 or 4 times already. Any more advice?

In that case Emily, you obviously has something
installed/running on your computer that is giving Vegas
a memory issue headache….and from here its hard to say
what it could be.

What are you editing? If you are editing JPEG photos, try converting them to .png.
Also, you might give the trial version of VPro 9 a try. I could not keep v8 or 8.1 running on my computer, but v9 seems to run without a hitch. (Good work, Sony.)

Thanks for the help guys, I guess I just needed a reset because after I reinstalled it, it worked fine 🙂
