Sony Vegas rendering problems
Hey guys! Just so you know I know absolutely nothing when it comes to formats and computers and stuff but I make Youtube videos (mainly makeup tutorials and stuff) and have been using sony vegas to edit for about 4 months. I’ve been using some rendering settings that I copied of a Youtube tutorial and it’s been Ok except the footage looks kind of blurry when there is fast movement. I’ve been working on a new video (a video showing clips from my holiday so there’s loads of panning) and am using loads of clips, some of which are in the format Sony AVC, some are quick time 7 and some MPEG-2 Transport Stream. I spent agessss editing all this together but I have no idea what is the best rendering option in order to get 720p or 1080p quality. Everything I have tried makes the video come out even worse, its super blurry (I think you guys call it ghosting or something) or weird black lines come up when there is fast movement. Can somebody please help me?

It sounds like you are working with interlaced video and trying to render progressive. I would set your project properties to match your source video. You can use the Match Media Settings button in the Project Properties window:
Also make sure that your project Deinterlace method is set to Blend Fields. This should take care of your problem when rendering progressive (as long as you didn’t change any other settings).~jr

For long video (1hour 15 minit)which field order is best,interlaced or progressive scan because my camera shoot at 1080 50p.

When interlaced, HD video uses Upper Field First so this is what I would use.

1)Sorry for ask this question,i like to know….Is SONY VEGAS PRO have been edit any movies because i have seen the AVID doing lot of movies and there have youtube channel.
2)In SONY VEGAS PRO team there is lot of video editiors…and you is one of theam,so please make some videos for youtube which edit any drama or anything so SONY VEGAS PRO become the best programe.Thank you

Yes, several movies have been edited with Sony Vegas Pro. It doesn’t have the content management that Avid has but it has been used for major motion pictures.

Personally I do event videos which are mostly concerts and performances. One of the major reasons I stick with Vegas Pro is for it’s outstanding auto editing capabilities. This isn’t something that you would get from just watching my work on YouTube. 😉 I have done some special effects work but the content is owned by the people who commission the work so I can’t post it because I don’t own the rights to it.

Paranormal Activity, OceanWorld 3D, Bendeyar, and all of Stan Harringtons movies (Bred in the Bone, The Craving Heart, etc.) to name a few, were edited on Sony Vegas Pro.
