If you’re using Pro 8 or newer, try Video4YouTube (it’s free) from the folks who developed Vegasaur.

So are you saying that you don’t like the quality you are getting from the Movie Studio YouTube upload settings when you press the Make Movie button?

I would not use Windows Media format. Try MainConcept AVC Internet settings instead.

    Thanks for responding.

Would I get better quality uploading strait to youtube from Vegas?

And I have tried MainConcept AVC, I wasn’t a huge fan because of the darker colors it added to the video. Is there a way to fix that?

I am usually recording minecraft, so when I use MainConcept AVC, the color change is very noticeable.

I am just asking this because many other youtubers that use 720p have amazing quality. My quality is good but I would just like to see if it could be better.

    Thanks a lot!

[Ken Layer] “Would I get better quality uploading strait to youtube from Vegas?”

I really don’t know. I don’t use Movie Studio. You should try it and see.

[Ken Layer] “And I have tried MainConcept AVC, I wasn’t a huge fan because of the darker colors it added to the video. Is there a way to fix that?”

Yes, place the Levels filter with the “Computer RGB to Studio RGB” preset on the Master Video Bus before you render.

[Ken Layer] “I am usually recording minecraft, so when I use MainConcept AVC, the color change is very noticeable.”

Have you tried Sony AVC instead?

[Ken Layer] “I am just asking this because many other youtubers that use 720p have amazing quality. My quality is good but I would just like to see if it could be better.”

Have you asked the other youtubers what they are doing? The encoders in Movie Studio are designed for “real world” video. You are encoding “computer animation” which has more solid colors. Maybe they are using a codec that handles animation better?

    How would I do this?

    Thanks

[Ken Layer] “How would I do this?”

There is an FX button above the Preview window that is the Master Video Bus:

Press that and Add the Sony Levels FX and look in the preset list for one called “Computer RGB to Studio RGB” and select it. Then render your video.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

It worked John, half the file size, same render time as my last present but, surprisingly less quality than my last present:

    Main Concept AVC: https://gyazo.com/93354bcb2338d0db84ab6b73d16976cc
    WMV (Quality VBR): https://gyazo.com/8aab7463f7368b21287d79cd0edfe561
*Sony Vegas Main Concept AVC was relatively the same as normal Main Concept*

I really appreciate all of you for attempting to help me, I just do not think there is much more I can do at this current time. As you mentioned before:
[John Rofrano] “The encoders in Movie Studio are designed for “real world” video.” And I use it for gaming so you can see the issue.

So once again thanks for all the help and effort you guys gave me, this forum is really one of the most helpful ones I have seen in a long time.

    Thanks
    -Ken
