    Hello
I am experiencing an issue i cant seem able to resolve
When i add a video in the track it plays fine
if i add a another video in a track right under it, the first one shows some “fps drop” and glitches,if they are playing simultaneously
muting the second video stops the glitch
please help me its kinda urgent
ive tried disabling resampling, no results
tried installing vegas 11 pro trial( i have 8.0 pro), same problem there
    thanks in advance

p.s. many of my videos appear black in the playback, and only sound works.
dunno if its connected anyhow.i have downloaded k-lite mega codec pack etc

It sounds like your computer is not powerful enough to play to videos in the format you are using at the same time. However, you did not say what the format is or how your computer is configured (processor, memory, drives, OS, etc.), so not much more can be said. If you haven’t already reduced the preview quality, reducing it can help. Your problems may also be coming from your installation of a “k-lite mega codec pack”. Codec packs should never be installed since they cause many problems for Vegas.

weak computer performance is kinda impossible. i have an i7 950 quad-core cpu with 8GB ram and an Asus HD5870 gpu.windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
well im not very familiar with videos formats etc, but the video is
taken from mobile camera in .mp4 format.
as i told you many of my videos(from cameras or not) appear black in the vegas. so did this one
i tried converting this one into .avi using free 3gp converter and again tried from avi to mp4. none of the 2 worked(same problem ,they appeared black)
after installing k-lite mega codec, only the one converted into .avi worked, but showed the problem i described previously, with the multiple tracks playback.
reducing the quality i think is not related. the black playback appears with many other videos (good quality or not) and the multiple tracks problem appears in all the videos i have tried.

    Nikos,

Sorry to tell you this but, you just trashed Vegas by installing k-lite mega codec pack. It’s not as simple as uninstalling it. k-lite does not have a decent uninstaller.

Search this forum for posts about it.

If your codec is not recognized by Vegas, convert the file using a reputable program to a format that is recognized by Vegas.
