Sony Vegas problem! PLEASE.
Hi!
I have a major problem with Sony Vegas and I can’t fix it. I’ve installed many codecs, another version of quick time but nothing works. I know it’s not an .avi problem cause I only use .mp4 and .wmv.
Anyway, here’s my problem: My timeline is fine, but I can’t see the preview. The sound is okay, so as the texts. I was working on a project and then, of all sudden, it went black. I really don’t know why… And there is just 2 projects like this. My other ones are fine. Also, in one of this project, there’s a part that is okay. I don’t think that the problem is the video I use cause I used the same for months and it’s the first time that I have this problem. I really don’t know what to do and I’m desperate.
Please, does someone know a solution? I’ve been searching everywhere on forums and youtube. -

It’s curious that is just started happening. Can you think of anything that changed on your PC recently? (Windows updates perhaps?) Can you restore to a previous time when all was working?
Try taking the exact video file from one of the projects that displays black, and place it in a new project? Does it still display as black? This will eliminate the video file being the problem.

This could be masking your problem. Installing a codec pack may be replacing the fine codecs installed by Vegas.
Have you tried reinstalling Vegas?

Might be good to know exact version you are using, on what version of os and amount of ram, etc.
