    I have been on a vacation trip with my action camera (salora ace 500- 4k30 camera). I wanted to edit my selfmade vids on a good editor. So i chose vegas pro 13. Everything was going great till I put my vids into my timeline. The program stopped working. At the top left stood ‘not responding’. I have watched many vids on how to fix it but none of them worked. I have tried the gpu acceleration on off. I have tried to make a video proxy but he stopped at a certain percent from downloading the proxy. I also tried to change the affinity by not vinking one of the processors. So im out of solutions. It would be great to see a response as fast as possible. Thank you in advance!! (sorry for my bad english(;

    Hi Stijn

    It would help if you could supply us with the technical details of your computer. Again, in details.

    Cheers !

    Does this happen with other video formats or just with the videos from that camera?

    Once I had to demux a video to load into Vegas because of process taking ages / or stalls.

    You can demux the video file into audio and video streams, then import the VIDEO.mp4 and AUDIO.WAV into timeline.
    (or dump the audio if not needed)
    Vegas still needs to generate peaks for the WAV but it works better with PCM files.
    AAC and heavily compressed audio may cause Vegas to go dumb.
