Sony Vegas Pro 13 .avi audio problem
So first off I’ve been using Sony Vegas Pro 13 for at least a year on my laptop to render Dxtory video footage with 2 audio tracks. I recently got a new computer and installed the same version of Vegas on it. At first Vegas would crash when I tried to import an avi from Dxtory. I fixed that by switching aviplug.dll with one I downloaded.
So now I can import them and the video plays fine but the audio on both tracks doesn’t work. It isn’t completely silent about every 8 seconds I get maybe 1 second of audio which sounds perfectly fine. I have searched and searched and I can’t find anything relevant that will fix my current issue. The weirdest thing about this is that I have since tried importing an avi on my laptop which this has worked on for about a year and now it seems to have the same problem as my new computer. I would say this was a good thing since it potentially narrows down what the issue might be but nothing has come to light so far.
I know I could use different software to record or I could convert the file I have now but I don’t particularly want to go there until I feel like I’ve tried everything I can so if you’re just going to tell me to do one of those things then you don’t need to. I’m solely interested in a fix for this specific issue if one exists.

During transferring video files from old system to new one, there is also a chance of file corruption. After corruption of video file when you try to open it, then it does not play and gives some error message. Have you installed the new Lagarith codec package on your new system?

There was no video transferred from one system to another. The files I tested on each computer were recorded on that same computer. On my laptop I even tested an avi that I had previously used without any problems and it was no longer working. Yes Lagarith is installed.

Can you upload a short clip to something like Dropbox? I’d be happy to try it on my system.
