Sony Vegas Pro 13 and YADIF issue
I have videos I want to deinterlace. They have all been recorded at DNxHD 10-bit 1920×1080 25fps (50i PAL) 185Mbps (Upper field first)
I tried just using interpolate with Sony Vegas and it left some artifacts, so I looked around for a better solution. I saw the YADIF plugin for Sony Vegas as mentioned here: https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/24/923607 and I tried it on severl of my videos.
I first set the project settings to 1920×1080, Upper field, 25fps PAL, Deinterlace none and set the videos themselves to (None) progressive for the interlace method. That was fine. I then put the YADIF on the vidoes MeidaFX and rendered the video to both a MainConcept AVC 240Mbps 25fps Progressive and a Quicktime DNxHD 25fps 1080p 422 185mbps 10-bit video.
I tired different settings on the YADIF as well. I was able to deinterlace the video and get a sharp video at 25fps, BUT on every video, there is a glitchy, distorted line that appears along the very bottom of the video.
I have two screenshots of the issue, one is of the deinterlaced video and one is the bottom right of the same image, blown up so you can see the distortion
Here is the image (you can see the slight line on the boom right of the image more): https://s14.postimg.org/kwsmhegzl/Deinterlace_Image.jpg

At first I thought it was to do with adding color correction, levels and an unsharp mask to the video, so I removed those and it didn’t change anything, I even noticed the distortion appearing on the preview window as the video was rendering.
Does anyone know what is going wrong and now to stop this distortion?
