Sony Vegas Pro 12 Mp4 Files Don’t Show Video
So i’ve got the video codecs installed and i’ve installed quicktime, but video still isn’t showing up when i import an mp4 video file, works fine in all other video player programs,

QuickTime has nothing to do with Vegas Pro playing an MP4 file. Vegas only uses QuickTime to play MOV files. So I’m not sure what you are trying to do. When you use the term “mp4 video file” do you really mean a file with a .mp4 extension or are you talking about MPEG4 AVC/H.264 in a QuickTime MOV container?

I recorded a minecraft video. it has .mp4 at the end of it, when i drag and drop it in vegas to edit it the video doesnt show up and it treats the file like it’s only an audio file.

OK, so this has nothing to do with QuickTime.
Do you have any codec-packs installed (e.g., K-Lite, etc.)?
Those can sometimes interfere with Vegas Pro processing video it normally wouldn’t have problems with.
