    In Sony Vegas pro 12 is render to new track the same as make movie in Movie studio Hd Platinum 11? Can you render to MP$ and what is mxf file

    Render to track is what it is. It renders a selection region to a file and puts that file as an event on a new track in the editor.

    MP4 and MXF are just generic file containers. They can have any number of video and audio fomrats.

    In Vegas pro you have native support for AVC, XAVC-S, and mpeg-2 in an mp4 file.
    Vegas supports mpeg-2, AVC, XAVC, HDCAM SR and Panasonic P2 formats in MXF files.
