Sony Vegas Pro 11 running VERY slowly.
Last night Vegas started acting up, it is extremely sluggish, even after a computer restart.
Most notably the preview window can’t even go frame by frame on half draft setting without taking a second or so to catch up. I have work to be done by tomorrow morning and simply can’t work with the program at this point.
When I look at my system resources monitor Vegas is taking nearly all my ram, with only a few mb not busy, and my computer is getting extremely hot even though CPU usage is low.
Anyone know how I can cure this?

Now Vegas keeps crashing and will not render, when this happens my entire computer locks up.

Take the cover off and blow the dust out of it using a can of compressed air.
