December 20, 2011 at 6:15 pmHey man I was wondering if you could send me a email to Alexz512@yahoo.com? I’ve been trying to fix my rendering issue for over a month now, the same rendering issue you were running into. You’re method out of everyone else finally sounds like a solution to fix this madness! I would REALLY appreciate this soooo much soo much haha ^__^

December 20, 2011 at 8:17 pmI went into my windows 7 menu, control panel, “uninstall a program” and deleted anything that looked like a “codec” that I could find. That’s a bout it.

December 21, 2011 at 8:35 pmI may have spoken too soon! with the “update” 511, I am now back to constant crashing during rendering, though VP11 is more stable during editing. This is a very annoying situation that Sony has caused by releasing “buggy” software. I thought with all the criticism with VP10 they would have learned NOT to release buggy version of VP!!!

December 21, 2011 at 9:09 pmI deleted build 425~!!!arrggghhh!!!!
No longer available on the sony website. Now I know never to update the damn program without keeping the old version ready to reinstall when the new version is worse!

December 23, 2011 at 12:39 amThank you for the link!!!!
Installed the build 425 and was able to render, but not the version for vimeo! Very strange, at least I was able to get something working. VP 11 has been a huge pain to deal with, I am sorry I upgraded from 9, at least it was stable. I cannot imagine how many hours I have wasted dealing with VP11’s issues, Sony is going to loose customers on this program if they continue to release “buggy” version that DO NOT WORK. I use this professionally and this has been a disaster for me, going back to VP9e as soon as this project is completed. VP11 is an “experimental” release only, it was a huge mistake to do a job with it.

December 23, 2011 at 8:30 pmNow I’m back to not being able to render anything! This is very frustrating to say the least.
No word from Sony, naturally.

December 23, 2011 at 8:59 pmI think I’ve crossed the line to a “rant” but I found this post:
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/941540#941556
Set my dynamic ram to 0, not 128, not 256, not 1024 or any other value for rendering and the damn thing finally rendered my project without crashing, which it has done 50 times or more in the past few days.

March 14, 2012 at 7:59 pmHi there, I know you might have found an answer by now, but regarding the black screen issue while rendering:
I had the same issue, I corrected/minimized by going to Options/Preferences/Video and changed rendering threads from 16 to 8. I noticed that this type of problem occurs when I apply too many filters to it.
I use Vegas pro 11, my system; sandbridge 8 processor/ 12ram/ invidia 4G…

March 16, 2012 at 9:15 pmThank you man , yeah for some weird reason just 1 week or so after I made this post , somehow the rendering issue stopped & I was able to render my projects all the way to 100% when I logged back on my PC the next morning. Lol I’m not sure what I possibly did to fix it but I’m sure I messed with some option settings when I wasn’t really meaning to haha. I used Sony Vegas Pro 11 also ..AMD 8 core/ 16GB RAM / Nvidia GTX 560 OC / 1100 PSU / ASUS M5A990FX 😀
