    Hi,

    I’m creating a video in sony vegas pro 11 and I put one clip on top of another (one clip on one track and the other on a track below it) and im wondering how do i stop the top track from being semi transparent untill the lower track clip ends. Im having one slide into the other so I want to see both normally during this process.

    I tried messing around with the different compositing modes but none of them seemed to work. How do I fix this?

    Im not too clear what you are describing…But if its what i think;
    why dont you just overlap the edges of each clip on the same track
    and just go to Transitions and select one of the presets under Push.

    I don’t understand what you mean either… but it might be the properties… right click the video, go to properties, then there are a couple of tabs, move through them till you see a “Channel Alpha” field (sorry, i’m not sure in which tab it is)

    Then play around with the Channel Alpha settings, till you get the desired transparency… perhaps you’re looking “none” since you don’t want it to be transparent

    That would have been a lot simpler xD.

    What i ended up doing was masking out parts on the bottom clip so there was no overlap and therefore no transparency. I didnt think about transitions :P.
