Hi, I was using Vegas 9 and all my Videos are on MPEG2, with that version there’s no problem and if I re-use any video Smart Rendering is during all the video so it does very fast and with no problem, THE PROBLEM is with Vegas Pro 11, if I render the MPEG2 and then try to re-use it, the imported clip has green frames all over it, ramdom, specially if I pause in vegas, click on other software, come back to vegas, click on any time in timeline and get the green frame on preview, if I play the preview the green frame flashes, also, smart rendering is not during all the video so, some parts are being renderes again. What could be the problem, why an older version workd fine a new version has thism I read on the ionternet other people with same problem, no one knows why….? Thanks!

Heard about that complaint from others using Vegas 11 Estaban.
I have my suspicions (codec issue), but not sure as yet what the
solution is. Although very bothersome to do, Defrag your Hard-drives
    and reinstall Vegas and see.

This is happening to me as well and is a major part of my big disappointment with Vegas 11. It might help to re-render the file and choose “use CPU only” rather than “auto” in the template customization. Good luck.

I am not sure how defragging a drive will help, however Steve mentioned a possible CODEC issue. If you have installed ANY CODEC pack such as K-lite, Vegas will freak. Uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas may reset the CODEC associations in the registry. If you have K-lite or similar installed, I would remove it before reinstalling Vegas.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

Hi, strange, I can’t find where to disable auto and select cpu only, I think on new build has been disabled to choose, cause is not there.

Oh, maybe that’s the reason, I have K-lite installed before install Vegas, so, I will uninstall both, and then install only vegas pro 11 to check if that works…. and, uninstalling k-lite, also unistall codecs on the registry or I need to do something else?
