Hello. I was about to purchase Sony Vegas Pro 10 on Amazon for around $500 when I saw the Slip Sleeve version available for only $275. I looked around for details on it, and I’m still a little confused about the difference between both versions. What is the main difference between the two? It seems a $225 discount has to be something more than just the box not coming with it. Thanks!

The first one includes Vegas Pro 10.0 software, DVD Architect Pro 5.2 software, Dolby Digital Professional Encoder, over 30 DirectX audio plug-ins, over 300 transitions and effects, and online help.
I believe that Slip Sleeve version contains only Vegas Pro w/o DVD Architect.

If you’re referring to package from Adorama, it does say on the page does not include DVD Architect Pro software.
However, the one reviewer says that it did.
I’d call them to confirm that DVDA does come with it as it’s one heck of a great price if it does.
Even if it doesn’t, buy it and then buy DVD Architect Studio 5.0 for another $40 direct from Sony.
It’s not as full-featured as DVD Architect Pro but you will have DVD authoring capabilities.

I bought the one off B&H. It did come with DVD Architect Pro. Maybe the Adorama version is different.
