sony vegas pro 10 ”EFFECTS”
I’VE DOWNLOADED A TRIAL VERSION & I CANT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ”ANIMATE” THE EFFECTS ON THE IMAGE & WHEN I PUT THE MUSIC ON IT’S TRACK THERE’S TICS & TACS ON THE SOUND!! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ON THESE 2 THINGS.THANKS

I’m not sure I understand your question. Animate in the context of Vegas 10 means to enable keyframing in effects. Since there’s hundreds (at least a dozen) of effects in Vegas, what is it that you are trying to do?

when i add the effect on a picture it does not respond to ANIMATE like swirl or up & down effect.its like frozen on PLAYBACK,LIKE THE EFFECT DID NOT WORK!!!

For future reference, typing in all caps is the equivalent of shouting and is generally frowned on.
The “tics and tacs” on the sound could be the Metronome.
Options- Metronome to enable/disable it.Click the Animate button to bring up the keyframe window.

Let’s go back to square one and have you start with giving us with a LOT more information.
What’s your CPU, what OS, how much RAM, how big are your hard drives, what kind of footage )DV, HDV, AVCHD, etc.) is on the timeline, what kind of FX are applied to it? -
We’ve all been frustrated like that before I think. But Mike’s right. This forum is monitored by several of us that can answer questions for you within hours, even minutes. Vegas is the easist program to use in my opinion, so you’ll be up and running soon.
There are several video tutorials on this forum to help as well.

OK MY SITUATION IS THAT WHEN I PUT AN IMAGE ON THE TIME LINE & WHEN I HAD AN EFFECT LIKE ”SWIRL OR WHAT EVER” THE EFFECT DOES NOT HAPPEN!! IT’S NOT ANIMATING,HAPPENING,THE SCREEN OF THE EFFECT LEVEL SHOWS UP ON THE MAIN SCREEN WHERE THE MOVIE IS.WHEN I DRAG DOWN THE IMAGE TO THE TIMELINE IT SHOWS A SMALL RED CIRCLE WITH A SLASH IN IT!!! I’VE LOOKED AT TUTORIAL’S ON YOUTUBE & NONE HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY TO PROSSES THE EFFECT.SO I CANT ADVANCE HERE!!! WHAT’S THE BUZZ HERE!!! HELP,HELP!!!!
