    Hello,

I have had the program for a month and I still cant get the sudio plug-ins to work. When i try to add an audio effect with or wothout the audio Chain I always get the following error.
” The plug-in could not be run. One or more components required to run

this plug-in may be missing. If a hardware key (dongle) is required to

operate this plug-in, ensure that it is properly installed. A necessary

COM interface was not available. You may need to reboot your computer.”

I have done many things to try to get them to work but I have had no success. I have done full uninstall with registry key deletion and folder deletion and using Windows Install Cleanup utility. I was given steps buy Sony Creative ticket and followed them to the letter. I also tried install from install disc and from fresh download from Sony. I have also run repair and still have same error. I even tried a new sound card.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit with 3gb Ram and 2 TB harddrive.

    Please can anyone help me?
    Thanks In Advance
    Fred

Specifically, what audio plugins are you trying to use?

    Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply and help in this matter. Here is what i am doing i click on Voice Track Fx and then when the window opens I click on Plugin Chain to add an effect or fix. I am trying to add “Audio Adjuster” or most any other. I have gone thru the whole list and i get error for most. All the “Cyberlink” give errors, all the “Nero” Give errors same with all the “Ulead” all the “PDR” all the “Main Concept” pretty much the whole list is not working, and give me that stupid error.

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Douglas,
I was hoping you could help me. I saw a post on another forum where someone was trying to deinterlace 1080i to 1080P 24F for better slow motion and you said something along the lines of, duplicate the track, move one one a half frame ahead and render to 60P. I think I kinda get what you mean, half a frame to deinterlace but I can’t seem to get to work. I have a Sony HVR-A1 1080i, I’ve set my project settings to Progressive and fields to blend, render to progressive to deinterlace but I’m hoping your method will give me better results, plus 60p would allow for better slow motion too. Thanks for any advise you can give on deinterlacing. Danny Hays

Hi, Maybe you can help me.

I purchased Sony Vegas Platinum Pro 9 last year after giving up completely on Adobe Premiere Elements which crashed and froze after anything longer than 5 minutes. I have successfully made 3 short DVD’s which I was happy with – the longest being 25 minutes but I am starting to have problems with my latest home movie project after only 20 minutes.

The most recent video files simply go off-line (it won’t open the project unless you agree that is off-line) and that’s an end to it. Other times it tells you there is an ‘exception error’, whatever that is, and it simply closes up.

I have run a registry cleaner across the system and even then, when I open it up again, it will be different files it refuses to recognize. I am really gutted because I was only 2 files from completion.

I admit that editing HD mpeg4 files is bound to be difficult, but I have a quad core 4GHZ machine with 4GB of ram and this machine was bought purposely to edit camcorder movies.
