Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 12
So, I’m trying to figure out if this is normal or a bug. When I drag the playhead button, it increases the speed and plays back and when I stop holding it, it stops playing. But I just want it so, that it plays it as reserve just as you do it with the JL keys without this chipmonk effect.

That is the expected behavior. Dragging the playhead will play at the speed you drag and JKL will play at a constant speed. That’s just the way it’s designed (no bug).
