Sony Vegas Freezes at Start Up
Hello. I am trying to find the answer to a new problem that has to do with my Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. I resently had to whip my computer due to a virus and after I reinstalled Sony Vegas, it worked perfectly fine until I shut down and restarted my computer. Then it froze at initializing audio engine. I had looked all over the internet for a solution to this problem and have not found one. I have also tried reinstalling it and the same thing happened. I have tried to contact Sony, but they do not deal with Vegas Pro 8.0 anymore because it is a older verison. If anyone could help me I’d really appreciate it.

I would update / re-install your audio drivers for Windows. Perhaps they have become corrupt due to the virus?

Yeah I would agree with John, I would say vegas is the same as it was but your pc has changed, if your audio is part of the motherboard I would hunt down the audio driver for that particular motherboard.
