Sony vegas extreme render times.
Hello, I’m having very long render times on sony vegas pro 12.
A simple 3 minute clip I record using a program called OBS takes 8 minutes using Mainconcept AVC and 6 minutes using sony AVC that’s double the video length I’ve tried with and without using the GPU acceleration on sony vegas with my gtx 660 (non ti) but there’s no difference.
So is there something I have to do with my settings or is this normal?Computer specs:
AMD FX 6300
GTX 660
8 GB ram
Recording and rendering at 1280 x 720. -

That sounds in the ballpark. What exactly were you expecting?
On my machine core i7 2.9Ghz, GoPro AVC 1080p30 source and 1080p30 output using Sony AVC is about 1/2 real time speed. Meaning 2 minutes render per 1 minute of source. Mainconcept AVC taking twice as long as Sony AVC.

Ok it seems that the GPU acceleration kicked in today. I rendered a 40 minute video in 50 minutes with the same settings as yesterday maybe some drive kicked in or something.
