Sony Vegas colors flick problem
Hello everybody.
Please help me, this thing drives me crazy.I use Bbandicam to record my desktop and games, then I use Sony Vegas to edit the video, so I can upload it to YouTube.
With Bandicam I record to Avi file.Using XVid codec.This is what I get when I import my video into Sony Vegas(Note : I preview this video with WMP,VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic, none show this, it only happens in Sony Vegas)
Picture shows my settings too.
Any solutions ?

Vegas Pro does not handle Xvid or DivX correctly. Stop using those formats with Vegas and your problem will go away.

Ohhh man,2014 and they still dont handle those well… no end to these troubles.
I will try to figure out something.
Maybe I should switch to Adobe Premier, who knows…Thanks anyways. -
They are not professional codecs, nor even good codecs. I highly doubt Premier or any other program will handle these well.

The problem is that Xvid and DivX are “hacks” to place H.264 codec in an AVI container where it doesn’t belong. AVI files traditionally contain codecs that use intra-frame compression. Xvid and DivX use inter-frame compression. That’s where the problems start. They should be placed in an MP4 container. I doubt Sony will ever fix this because Xvid and DivX are delivery formats, not editing formats so you should not be editing them in the first place.

The best formats for editing are ones that use intraframe compression. With these codecs each frame is a complete pictures and not dependent on any frames around it. Codecs like DV, CineForm, Motion-JPEG (MJPEG), Sony YUV, AVC Intra, DNxHD, ProRes, etc. all use intraframe compression and are great for editing (although DNxHD and ProRes are better for the Mac than PC).
If you are capturing your gameplay with Bandicam I would use MJPEG video with PCM audio and see how that edits in Vegas Pro. Motion-JPEG shouldn’t give you any issues at all. If those files are too big, you can also capture to H.264 as an MP4 file. Just stay away from Xvid.
