a question about organizing clips…i made a youtube video yo describe what i need to do…thought it would be easier…

There may be an easier way but this is the way I know. Turn on Auto-Ripple(Ctrl+L). Double click a blank area to highlight that region and hit delete.

Also, when doing something simple like cutting clips like you did, I would turn Auto-Ripple on to start with. Make sure you turn this off when not needed for this tool can get you into big problems if your not careful.
