    About a week ago, Sony Vegas stopped opening for me and that includes any project. I have both Sony Vegas 8.0 and 10.0 and have been using SV for years. I’ve never run into this problem before. In task manager it will however show up in processes when I try to open it. Unless I kill that process it sometimes makes totally separate programs freeze for me. I tried reinstalling and it sort of worked, until I updated it to 8.0c (I had that version for years before this problem). Then it stopped opening again. I tried disabling my anti-virus program temporarily too (avast), but it did nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Uninstall all Vegas versions and delete all its pertaining
    folders that are left back in the programs files.
    Restart, then install your Vegas version 10.0e alone….
    And see if that helps.

    Darn, ok I’ll try that, but I will need to have 8.0c again since I prefer it.

    I have installed The sony vegas 10e but the 11 don´t work why??

    Does anyone have another solution? Cause I really get the feeling it isn’t Sony Vegas’s fault.

    Check the Windows Update logs to see if one of the Microsoft updates failed the other week. You could try using a Restore Point from a week or more ago to see if that resolves the issue.
