    so import a music video into the sony vegas workspace. i add an intro image and blah blah blah.

    i then go to file render and poof spit out by mpeg2.

    only problem is video has NO SOUND!

    images are great. vidoe looks great. but where the SOUND GO??

    Check what template you used. The DVD templates do not include sound, you render the AC3 sound separately.

    With mpg2 you have to hit the “custom” button and then the “audio” tab and turn on the sound. But the suggested way to do it to do a DVD with DVDA is to record the mpg2 file and then do a separate AC3 file for the audio. Use those 2 to create the DVD file. Many just create it in DVDA and then burn it with Nero.
