I just upgraded to VP12. Ran some rendering tests. Original material is Sony EX1. Project is HD 1920×1080. Not a problem rendering using Mainconcept to create mp4 files.
With regard to MXF is was able to create a file using HDCAM SR Lite 422—-although its large for my needs…the render went fine.
When I try creating an HD EX 1920×1080-60i mxf file the render begins…but essentially nothing happens…the ‘approximate time left’ box just keeps winding up to 20 minutes and beyond (for a 16second file)….I ultimately try to cancel ..that doesn’t work..so I have to shut the whole computer down. I am at a total loss as to why this won’t work esp. when I can render other files…And it works fine using this template on VP10.
    Any suggestions much appreciated…

Is it the latest Vegas version, Build 394?

Thats correct. My computer is Windows 7 64 bit operating system.
    Intel Core i7 cpu: M620 2.67Ghz. 8GB DDRam..
Nvidia graphics card is NVS 3100M.
What I can’t figure out is no problem rendering the HDCAM SR Lite 422 mxf file/template… No problem rendering .mp4 Mainconcept but everything seems to freeze up when I try the HD EX 1920x1080060i which I use all the time on VP10.

I really hope so—because without this ‘fix’ i Cannot use VP12—and that doesn’t seem right or fair. I hope Sony is reading this.

I will do that. What are the co-ordinates for lodging the complaint?
    Many thanks for your help.

Martin, you’re not going to like me but I was able to render to HD EX 1920x1080060i with no problems at all.
This is using Pro 12 on a low end Dell i3 with a Quadro 600 video card.
