Sony Vegas 12 Image Breakup and Pixelation in preview and render
Even in the preview screen I am experiencing image breakup and pixelation and when I try to render it is worse, I recently had to reinstall my pc but I never use to have these issues in Sony Vegas 12.

I’m guessing the problem is with your source video.
What file format do your source videos use? (AVI. MP4, WMV, etc.)
What codec do your source videos use? (DivX, Xvid, x264vfw, Fraps, etc.)

The footage looks perfectly fine in windows movie maker and the orgiginal .avi file, I just dont know why it started to do this in vegas

OK, that’s the problem. You’re using Xvid and Vegas Pro doesn’t handle Xvid well at all. I recommend that you either use a different codec to capture like M-JPEG or Lagarith with PCM audio or you convert your current Xvid videos to M-JPEG or Lagarith for editing. You can use the free AviDemux 2.5 to make the conversion:
If you do use AviDemux, make sure that you use 2.5 and not 2.6. Vegas Pro has problems with files created with 2.6.
