Sony Vegas 11 rendering issues
I can’t seem to get a decent video with Sony Vegas Movie Maker 11 HD. Everything I render ends up being pixelated afterwards. The preview looks great in the small window, but the finished product always ends up splotchy and pixelated. What am I missing here?

What is the format and its settings you are rendering out to?
Do you get the same results rendering to other formats without

I’ve tried .mp4, and the sony codecs for 1080-60p, and the EX renderings. The last one I did was 720p at Best setting .mp4 and it still gets pixelated to some degree.
I have 4GB ram on a 64bit AMD 2.8gz machine running 7 home premium. I have almost a terrabyte of storage on the drive. No special video cards, just what was installed onboard.
I’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.
The song is copyrighted so I hope no one can download it. I’ve included an mp4 rendering.

taking for granted GPU acceleration is disabled in Sony Vegas, it should be by default.
non-common pixelated renders could come as result of poor CPU performance or incorrect overclocked CPU, poor GPU performance or buggy compatibility, corrupt RAM, corrupt codecs (try reinstalling Vegas)… start by re-installing Vegas, disabling GPU acceleration, checking RAM performance and stability with Windows Memory Diagnostic, checking CPU performance and stability with Prime (Google it)… this is an issue not easy to trace back to the root of the problem. At the end of the day it could very well your source material not being high quality and rendering compressed videos, thus exhibiting artifacts.

I can’t seem to find the GPU disabler in Vegas anywhere. I’m using a JVC Everio HD HDD camera on HD settings, and the source material looks real good. The small preview window for Vegas shows a real crisp image. The large preview screen is pixelated, and the renderings are as well. There’s a video labled Dmonny on my profile that is an example.
