Sony Vegas 11 & 12 Waveform/Audio Issue
Hi guys. I’m really frustrated with an issue in Vegas. I have 11 and 12 and both have the same issue.

The screen capture for some reason didn’t record the audio but in the video all I’m doing is scrolling in and out of the audio track with the middle scroll wheel to get in closer and further away from the waveform.
The problem you can see is that with zooming in and out it is changing the waveform. And the waveform you see if what is played, so depending on the zoom Vegas will play different audio. And you will know how useless this is for editing. Very frustrating and I can’t seem to find this issue online or on this forum.Thanks in advance,

Do you have these Audio files on an external hard-drive?

Actually yes. I will move them to local drive see if that works

OK I played around for a bit and that seems to work well. Way more stable. When I edit more thoroughly I’ll have a better idea of it working or not.

Yeah, that happens sometimes with audio on certain external drives or with
certain USB3 Drives using USB2 connection. There is also an issue if the
