I’m having a bit of an issue. For some odd reason, Sony Vegas 10 won’t install on my laptop. For the record, it’s an Acer 5253-BZ660 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. 2GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Dual Core C50 CPU, 320 GB HDD. I’ve read just about every solution possible on various forms but none solving the problem I have: the installation won’t start after the UAC thing. Basically, after the UAC thing, the installation quits without explanation. Any help in this is greatly appreciated.

2gigs ram? Is that enough for 64 bit and Vegas? I think that is minimalistic.

32-bit version install doesn’t start up either. And I turned my firewall and antivirus off.

Yea, 2GB is the bare minimum for 64-bit with 4GB being the recommended amount, but the software should still at least install. I would contact Sony technical support. I believe they provide free support for installation issues (at least they use to).

2 GBs RAM is the “bare minimum” MS recommends on w64 which means you are asking for trouble in trying to do anything with that, but maybe it will install. Frankly, I’d get more RAM first. you’ll need it.
