  Sony Vaio Laptops for Editing? Good?

  Hey

  I’ve been thinking about buying a Sony Vaio F(X) Series laptop to upgrade from my Compaq CQ60 (it does the job).

  Specifications I would purchase (ideally):
  Intel® Core(TM) i7 Processor
  Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
  500 GB Serial ATA (7200 rpm)
  6 GB 1333MHz DDR3-SDRAM
  NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M 1GB
  Blu-ray Disc(TM) writer
  41.6 cm LCD, 1920×1080, webcam

  I hope this would last me a few years through university. However, no one seems to recommend Vaio laptops! Should I just get an ASUS instead?
