  sony v1u no capture video elements 3

  When trying to capture from a Sony V1U, I see no picture in the capture window, even though it shows the time code and does capture video. Any suggestions? How do I know if it is capturing HDV or DV – in fact, is there any difference between the two as far as the output is concerned? Elelemts 3 seems to output only DV anyway – not HDV.

  The V1U is not in the list of Sony devices. What is closest. The Fx7 is not there either. What works? What settings on the V1U force HDV out the Firewire rather than DV?
