Sony URX-P2 hissing
I am working with a business that uses the Sony URX-p2 receiver with the utx-b2 transmitter into a Canon 60D.
Just recently, a significant hissing has been recording in the audio. They have said that this hissing has not always been there.
I am not familiar with this particular set-up into the 60D and wondered if it has something to do with the 1/8 connection rather than the actual mic.
What can I do to eliminate this hissing sound.

Id try 3 things to pin the issue
1) go to a new frequency or 2 and see if it is the same.
2) put headphones into the receiver and see if the issue is still there.
3) try an alternate mic capsulepersonally, and this isnt neccessarily the issue, id never advise anyone to record any audio into a dslr until the camera manufacturers take audio fidelity way more seriously than they do now.

Hissing normally occurs due to a poor levels in the signal path rather than connections.
Is the TX levels set correctly?
Is the levels on the RX set correctly?
Is the camera being fed with the correct level, if it is to low the auto gain in the camera will take over and drag up the background noise (hiss)Recording sound on a DSLR camera is regarded as marginal at best.

Recording sound on a dslr is a no go in my book. Dreadful, and whats worse is people think its ok!
