  • Sony says audio codecs can be ininstalled by mistake…..

    From Sony’s site:
ª If you have multiple Sony applications (such as ACID, Sound Forge, CD Architect, etc.) installed, uninstalling other Sony applications may cause your audio plug-ins to be removed from Vegas Pro. To restore your audio plug-ins, uninstall and reinstall Vegas Pro.

My question is how can I find out if my audio codecs were removed when I unistalled the DVD Architech 4.5 and then later 5.0 demos without in/reinstalling Vegas Pro 8.0c? Will it remember my authen key?
I did reinstall DVDS 4.5 but ininstalled again.

You can also easily use the “maintenance wizard”.
To just reaffirm that everything is in place..
    by going to your directory…eg:

    C:/Program Files/Sony Setup/Vegas Pro 8.0
    and click “vegas80_enu”

I don’t have the Sony setup folder. I felt since it was just a setup folder I deleted it. If I run the install again, will it work?

If you reinstall it, the setup folder will be put back in place.
Files and sub-folders that appear after a software is installed
are there for a reason…so if you are not deprived for space…
    leave them alone.
