I just set up a new FCP end Media 100 HDe edit system using an Aja Kona Card. For some reason the PVW 2800 is not getting video in on the compnent side. I’ve checked another PVW 2800 and have seen a switch on the back of the unit that reads Component 1 and Component 2. Would this switch cause this problem? Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

The switch for Component 1 and Component 2 switches the input from the dub connector (multiple pin, but one big connector – forget how many – 26?), to the Y,R B inputs (individual BNC connectors for Y,R,B, typically fed with connectors that are Green (Y) Red (R) and Blue (B)). So yes, if you have the wrong one selected, you will not get your video into the unit.

    Hope this helps.

    Have fun!

Thanks! I’ll give it a try when I get home!
