    Hello to all,

I am in the process of setting up a G5/FCP5 system and thinking about purchasing a Sony PVM 20L2. Any thoughts on this monitor? Should I have the SDI card installed? I output for broadcast and want an accurate reference picture.

    Thanks so much!

    Lisha,

Monitor is fine. We have five of ’em. Better get them fast though, ’cause Sony is getting out of the “Bottle” biz and only going flat panel. Yes, component is fine, but nothing beats SDI for ease of operation. One cable carries everything. It really comes down to cost. If you can afford it, I’d get the SDI… gives you many more options for looking at decks, etc.
