Sony PMW F3 workflow – basic off loading question
Hello
I am media managing an F3 shoot. In the past I have worked with the EX1 and EX3 cameras and used to rely on Sony’s clip browser to view the clips while out in field after downloading them to the hard drive.
With the F3 do i need to use clip browser?? Once the F3 files have been downloaded to hard drive are they in a viewable quicktime format?? Do I need any additional software on my laptop to view these files?

No, but you can use Clip Browser if that is what you know. EX1/3 workflow is the same for the F3 as they share the same codec.
I use Shot Put for file transfer off loading from the cards and XD Cam Transfer to re-wrap to Quicktime.
