For those who use the M15U or M25U decks to ingest HDV material to their FCP:

Do you see any sync problems, both with DF and NDF material?

I’ve been using my Z1 camera to ingest material (I know, not recommended) and seeing lots of problems with video-audio sync with NDF tapes. I’ve been using the component out, into Kona LHe, MacPro, and iLink/Firewire for control and timecode.

If you use an M25, do you use component for video, analog out for audio, and iLink/Firewire for control, or do you add an HDMI-HDSDI converter to the mix?

    I appreciate any insights.

Hey Bob… this may be of no help as I am in PAL land where we don’t have to deal with DF/NDF but I use the 15 deck and have any sync problems at all.
