Sony HXR-MC1 pov camera
Anyone using the new Sony HXR-MC1 camera with FCS? How is the image quality? Any issues with importing and using the files? It records on Sony memory stick pro in AVCHD. We want to use this with XDCAM HD disc footage. Will we have to do this in Pro Res or can we keep it native XDCAM? I’ve done a search and found only a couple of recent posts with people having trouble with log and transfer, but no answers. Thanks!

Fantastic camera, PQ is outstanding import into FCP was easy and it cut perfectly with our EX footage, can’t recommend it highly enough!

This is an example, it’s not HD but you can see the quality even from this .wmv. The wider shot in cockpit is a standard def Sony minicam

Any luck importing this camera (HXR-MC1) into avid media composer?

I am really struggling to get the cams footage into FCP 6.0.4.
I cant get anything to show up in log and transfer.
I cant get any files to be recognized by importing into a bin.
Any advice is appricated.
