  Sony HDW 1800

  Does anyone have experiance with this pro deck (Sony HDW 1800) and
  Sony Vegas 7 or 8?

  I tried to output to tape VIA Firewire (the deck had this option).

  Tools -> burn output to HD tape, both V7&8 recognized the the HDW 1800 by name. But when I went to the last step of “Manual or Crash recording” they were both greyed out, so that I could not get to “Finish” step.
  No matter what I tried this presisted.

  So I ended up recording to Sony HC1 on HDV and recorded back to the HDW1800, one hour at a time. That worked but was hard to match the two one hour segments to the HDW1800.

  Any suggestions why the HDW1800 did not take the last step in Vegas 7&8?
