The tape is fine. There are no timecode breaks on the tape. However, when I am capturing with Final Cut, every 4-7 seconds, capturing is interrupted and I get the error message “Located TimeCode Break” and the capturing process is stopped. Is this a deck issue? A computer issue? A final cut settings issues? Thank you in advance.

Both the HDW1800 and the Decklink card need to have a common reference. If you have a black burst generator, feed it to both devices ref in. The HDW must be set to reference to external, not SDI.

If you have no reference then use the Decklink ref out to the HDW1800.
