I cant seem to capture normal dv to premiere form this camera. Has anyone else had this problem?? I went to another system and still had the same prob. It can control it and the comp recognizes it but it wont capture the video.

    any clues?

The camera needs to be in the DV mode (external switch) and capture to a “DV -NTSC (or PAL) Standard 48khz” project (not HDV).

Alright I went into menu and had it switched to dv mode and my timeline is a widescreen pal(shot 16×9) so there is an external switch also?

    Thanks for the help

If you have PAL tapes you need a HDR-FX1E
