    Hi, all,

    Just got in from NAB. Wondering if the Sony HVR-Z1 HD Camcorder would be compatible with Avid Express Pro via the Mojo. (Seeking to capture in SD for now.) Sony refers to their firewire out signal as “DV-Cam” while Avid cites Mojo compatibility with “DV sources.” – The same? (I’ve used my little ol’ Mini-DV camcorder into Mojo with no problems.) Also the same 4-pin firewire IE-1394 on both units.

    Hi Tom,

    I have used the FX1 (consumer version) with Mojo and Xpress Pro 4.6 without any problems. Just set the camcorder to down convert out of the FireWire and you should be good to go. It even controls the camcorder although I haven

    Chris – are you running the FX1 into the 4pin DV on the mojo – or going through another 1394 card, separate from the mojo? Just asking because the latter is the only way I’ve gotten DV to work with my mojo (that is, with a DV deck, I have an FX1 but haven’t tried it w/mojo yet).
